Good news for the Frogs in other games as well. Louisville & Duke both lost today; those two teams were immediately ahead of the Frogs in the NCAA selection committee's most recent Top-16 reveal. That means the Frogs could be considered as high as 9th, though they would still need to pass Michigan, LSU or Iowa to earn a 2 seed.
They love them some ACC. Even though their whole conference is below .500 against top 25 teams And have proven several times this year they just aren’t a strong conference. Yet they continue to get ranked and high seeds only because of previous years.

Not to be a debbie downer or anything but we're going to have to get better production from our bench if we want to make a deep run come tourney time. In 27 mins, our bench players had as many fouls as they did shot attempts. 0-3 from the field with 2 rebounds and 3 fouls. Suarez and Miles have both shown a tendency to get in foul trouble at times. What's going to happen in the ncaa tournament if that happens? We saw today how cold we went when Suarez went to the bench with her 3rd foul. Someone will have to step up in the bright lights of the tournament.

That’s one of the areas where losing Scherr impacts us. Bigby was supposed to be that big spark off the bench for this club as the season got underway. Now having to put her in the starting 5, it’s up to Sheffey or Bielefeld to put pressure on a team. I think Sheffey can do that against teams that allow guard penetration. I hoped Parker would be able to be the 8th/9th spark but seems like she’s still working to get into form for some reason.
