AP: Hannahs, Kravic help Texas Tech hold off TCU 60-49

FORT WORTH, Texas — Dusty Hannahs got the pre-game message from Texas Tech coach Tubby Smith, even though the golf analogy was a little different.
The Red Raiders needed to back up a win over No. 12 Baylor by beating the Big 12's last-place team on the road, so Smith called it "validating the birdie."
Hannahs had no trouble with the translation, scoring 13 points to go with Dejan Kravic's 12 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks Saturday in a 60-49 win over TCU that gave Texas Tech consecutive league victories for the first time in nearly three years.
"Coach was telling us this is like golf," Hannahs said. "No jokes. It was serious because you come out and lose this game, it just doesn't validate the win." ...
