Anyone Catch the first Episode of "Landman" S2? TCU was front and center.

I have mixed emotions. Lots of good looking pub, nice campus shots, but story was about getting an incredibly stupid girl into school.

Would like to offer up that during my time at TCU, a girl submitted an essay where her transition sentence was, “meanwhile, back at the ranch…”

Keep in mind this was an English class and the assignment involved nothing about the West, cowboys, or ranches. She was using the colloquial/slang of the day in her paper.

She was sinfully attractive in a Jamie Presley sort of way but the floodgates had long since let all the information pass out through that brain.

I haven't watched any of the show but did see the clip. It was fairly amusing and I don't think it does any damage.

As for the rest of the series, is it as good as Dallas was?

And did I notice they used the exterior of Milton as the Admissions Building? When she was in the lobby with her mom, that was the interior of the actual Admissions building.

I said this is another thread: seeing the campus in glorious sweeping HD shots and then EVERYTHING that followed, the night after the predicted mormon shellacking.... there is only so much a man can take.

I've long understood that only some of us here and other alums still care that it is Texas CHRISTIAN University, and that the powers that be have tried to hide or minimize that fact for some time. To not only okay the scenes being shot on campus but the scheissing CONTEXT..... did they have tapefingers write that abysmal subplot? Because that was exactly his recruiting pitch at Toilet Bowl University: Come to this school, the girls are sluts, especially if you play football! And don't worry, how much of a dirtbag you are doesn't factor into their decision making, or ours.

It's almost like divine punishment of some sort, the petty swipes taken at Tech while smugly "promoting" TCU, in a way I consider utter desecration (and I'm only in my 40s. I know how some of the old timers would feel but they are probably too smart to watch this crap). Look where both football programs are now. Thanks a bunch, Mr Sheridan.

BTW, scheiss Taylor Sheridan. Or the android that killed and replaced him, because the man who wrote Hell or High Water (which seemed like a legitimate loveletter to Texas & Texans) & Wind River isn't the boy with mommy issues & $$$s in his eyes churning out this western themed Days of Our Lives garbage. A big greasy debauched & defiled carcass with our emblems on it he just tossed before a national audience, just like every game we played on Fox & ESPN this year.

So she made an A right?

its a bit rediculous. Not so much so as yellowstone was, but it's taking the same onramps.
