Anybody think we don't need Casey back?

Look I love Trevone and I want him on the field, but my goodness, their corners couldn't stay in the same time zone as our wideouts. Casey would have shredded that D for 250-300. Future still very bright, but if we want to win the Big 12 next year we need Casey, otherwise we are waiting on Matthews to develop in '14.

I'll raise my hand here. Unless there are some really significant changes to our O system, I really don't think Casey is the answer and I can't think of anyone who would be unfortunately. I actually believe that James' return will mean more.

Yes, that has been obvious since the first quarter of the Iowa State game. There is no comparison between the talent level. It is extreme. But, we also need a new OC. This experiment has failed and failed miserably. They are worse than Schutz. And that's not even close.

Agree. I finally, reluctantly came to that conclusion near the end of the game when our QB threw a four yard swing pass behind Tucker who had to turn around to catch it. Whatever the reason is if he can't throw a four yard swing pass accurately the kid shouldn't be playing.

Worst game he's had since OSU. At least he wasn't alone - wideouts dropped pass after pass, line couldn't block, OC's refused to keep backs in to help the OT's out. This wasn't the result of a very good MSU defense - looked to me like one side of the ball didn't have any focus.

You really think our offensive coordinators would call the same plays with CP4 in there?? Some of you can't see past the fact that our offensive personell is lacking. So they tried to make due with what they had. Why dont the broncos run the pistol?? It works for the niners!! Why don't the cardinals just throw bombs to Fitzgerald all day!?? Because their qb can't throw the ball 30 yards. Our gameplan is different for TB as it would be for CP4. Not hard to figure our.

We need Casey to come back and play like he can, which is at a high level. If he does, the sky is the limit next year. If he can't come back, then we won't win 8 games. I can't believe we aren't going to recruit another QB this year. Tre is a tough kid. He is a fighter. But he struggles in the passing game with his decisions and his throws, especially down the field.

If I were so inclined I would go back and pull threads from the Kansas game and recall the laments about "why are we running Casey on a zone read? He's gonna get hurt." If we don't change our system to include max protect schemes, I simply don't see Casey being an ultimate answer if by that we mean getting to a BCS game or better.

The offense got dumed down with Boykin. He is great with his legs, but the passing game has become pathetic. He just doesn't see the field the way CP did or the OC for that matter. Why take our best advantage and stray away from it??????

I like TB. He was thrown into a tough situation as a Freshman. But the execution hasn't been there for most of the season. Maybe in a year or two.

Not sure why some people blame the OC. Guys were open all night long and either weren't seen at all or the throws missed their target.

I hope we have Pachall for the LSU game though I doubt out OL will let him live long enough to play week 2.

Proud of all the players and this team. Looking forward to seeing the next year.

I award you no points. And may God have mercy on your soul.

Will CP under these OC's be the same CP we saw last year under Fuente? No, because name your NFL hall of famer could not make up that gap. They are terrible. But, can he read defenses? Yes. Can he accurately throw the ball downfield? Yes. Can he throw a six yard pass to a running back? Yes. So, instant improvement.

I have come to the realization that we need Casey back. I'm also going to say if Collins is our LT next year our line will stink again. I like the kid but he hasn't progressed a lick this season.

I disagree with some of the OL complaints tonight. Thought they played well against a DL that will put a couple of guys in the league. OL will improve dramatically next year. Collins, Big V, Tayo, Hunt, and others will all improve.

I don't blame OCs. the only thing i hated was that we didnt utilize our speed on the outside. I think GP put the brakes too early. Boykin has a cannon, let him unleash it.
