2013 S Malcolm Cook 6-1/200/4.4 Fork Union Military, VA (Originally Richmond VA Alexander HS) Played DB/QB in high school, committed to VA but looking araound and TCU one of his favorites.

Stats for 2012: 9 ints, 369 yards on int returns & 4 returned for TDs, 1 TD receiving.

PLUS...something nobody ever really considers...safties make the BEST special team players. They are fast, strong, usually smart and aggressive and can play in space. Sign 'em up.

Was very fortunate there were no major injuries with the safeties this yr. Maybe staff are not impressed with this yr's available OL prospects and are willing to wait til next yr.

I remember reading an article in the Skff about the 2007 recruiting class which included roughly 6 safeties (Cuba, Fobbs, Goodson, Tejay Johnson, Bledsoe, Chez Thomas) and all GP said was "You can never have too many safeties."

And he was excited about every single one of them.

Cook picked up 11 offers in a matter of days once he opened things up...he is a good one. He would have had way more offers except he was a strong UVA commit due to the fact that he has known his recruiter (a coach let go by UVA) since 9th grade.
