As I stated, In the last DECADE. There are some doosie seasons from the military teams in the early 2000s.
Notre Dame going for a record amount of wins after playing in Ireland>>>> the Irish??? They will be the only team to win more than 9 going forward.

Again, the focus on the "Curse" is on who the loser was

What is wrong wituu?? I clearly stated the Ireland curse is on the Losers in Dublin in the initial post. Comment on some of the last 10 years losers in Ireland and whether or not there may be a curse.

I am an ISU Grad and I watched the game against KSU last year. Personally. I think there is a curse by playing in Ireland. You are better than that!!

This was taken directly from your first post on the subject.(yes I missed the last decade part)

"Are you aware that KSU has the best season record of any team in last decade(6 wins i think) that played in Ireland?" Key word being played, No mention of losers. So you didn't "clearly state anything.

Which is why I started my response with:

"In terms of teams that have lost in Ireland UCF went 9-4 in 2014." (Again missing the last decade my bad) Because nowhere in you original post did you mention losers. If you had I wouldn't have even replied.

I've spent far too much time reading all you wizards when this is my very first week on this website. I don't give a rat's behind about Baker and the rest of those non-Frogs. That's history; ancient history at that.

All I care about is fixing what is broken, and getting back to where we are freakin' TROUBLE for whoever steps on the field against us. Our biggest problem right now is Dykes. He's being paid to fix things, and I'm not certain Dykes even knows it's broken. He better figure it out if he wants to stay employed where we would fight 'em on ice if necessary.

Horned Frog Football used to be FUN; it's painful to attend games now. Who cares if you beat the crap out of Grambling and Arkansas St.; those are games Dykes and staff can use to teach. And they better start teaching! And recognizing who their players are...and aren't!

My bad. I assumed most were aware of chatter by news outlets regarding season long curse on Aer Lingus loser.

I certainly agree but it's bigger than Dykes. It goes higher up as they will do the same thing again. Remember the old saying.........leopards can't change their spots. This also applies to Sonny.........look at his conf. history in '23. '24' and '25........14/13 won lost. I have finally realized whay he screams at the refs all game......he figures he must do something, he cann't coach.

Over that same time period, just to name a few...

Kyle Whittingham was 14-13
Scott Satterfield was 9-18
Kenny Dillingham was 15-12
Dave Aranda was 11-17
Lance Liepold was 12-15

Gary Patterson was 45-41 in the Big 12.

I get it, 14-13 isn't good enough. But it's certainly not an indicator that a guy "can't coach". The Big 12 is a competitive league, barring some crazy booster situation where you can separate yourself financially, great records are going to be hard to come by.

I do get your point, but Wittingham was basically fired, while Satterfield, Liepold and Aranda are all on the hot seat and it's very likely at least two of them are going to be fired before this season is over. The only name on there with a safe job is Dillingham, and that's because his record is dragged down by year 1 (as opposed to Dykes' record being bolstered by year 1) and he led the team to a Top 10 finish two seasons ago.

Whittingham was hired by Michigan. And SD’s 14-13 record over the past three seasons isn’t bolstered by anything. He’s 23-14 over the past four seasons.

You love bringing up records, take out 2022 because that is clearly an anomaly at this point, and he is 56-59 in conference play as a head coach and 4-4 in bowl games. That's extremely average.

Wittingham was fired (officially "resigned" in the same way Patterson "resigned") from Utah in December. He wasn't hired by Michigan until the Moore scandal led to his firing the following Spring.

Ok. But the original poster said that SD’s 14-13 conference record over he past three years is proof that he “can’t coach”. I don’t know how what he said could be interpreted any other way. So Michigan hired a guy who can’t coach?

Michigan hired a bridge guy that had a track record of success and, more importantly, a scandal-free record since they were coming off the Moore debacle. They could make the argument that a change of scenery was needed to help Kyle get his fastball back (and again, I don't think anyone views it as a long term solution), but that doesn't mean his most recent years didn't justify Utah letting him go any less than the last few years of Patterson justified us letting him go.
