Then watch is come back to average after two more years. Is that what you are saying?
I'm not sure what you're saying. I've just responded that a 14-13 record doesn't really indicate that a guy "can't coach", like the original poster implied.

I mean, we're removing SD's best year and I'm ok with that I guess, it was an outlier. Take away '14 and Gary was 37-40 in the Big 12. Take away Matt Campbell's best year at ISU and he was 42-39. Take away Chris Klieman's best year at K-State and he was 29-25. I wouldn't describe them as guys that "couldn't coach".

In your opinion what conference is the best? The Big 10? The Big 12? ACC?

It's funny, TCU fans like to [ Finebaum ] on the current staff and talk about how much easier it should be to win in the new Big 12 relative to the old one, but then they also get pissed when anyone criticizes the new Big 12.
A. I don't think it is much easier. Not sure why folks think that. KState is still here. ISU only recently lost a really good (not great) coach. Okie St. won't stay down for much longer. BYU is stout (not sure how much longer they keep their coach with the facilities/support frustrations), and Tech will be good. There have been teams climb to the top of the league that were not OU/UT.
B. I think Big 10 has had the advantage for a while. Yes, they have one team that dominates more than others, but it's also, in my mind, a far better team the UT. They had 9 teams with 8 or more wins (7 teams with 9 or more - and 3 teams with 12 or more wins) USC will be improved this year (my guess). And anybody writing off Iowa as a "should be mid major" needs their heads examined. (If you want to be a visiting team there, enjoy the risk) Interested to see BB can get Ill over the 9-4 hump.
a.C.c I'm not one of those who agrees that the ACC is milktoast.

Leaving the Big 12 out of it, I think the bottom half of the Big 10 and ACC are way behind the bottom half of the SEC. You look the schedules of teams like Indiana and Ohio State, there are just so few potential losses relative to a typical SEC schedule.

We've had had this talk before. I don't think the bottom half of the SEC is as great as folks say. When your claims to your schedule are playing other teams in your league who don't impress much more than other power 4s at that level ... it's not impressive.

Methinks the estimable Mark Twain once quipped: "If you don't read the newspaper, you are uninformed. If you do read the newspaper, you are misinformed."
What do you think about Montgomery Al publishers and school districts radically changing the language in Huck Finn?? Chile to Child for instance. I know what I think but it can't say here in this clorox silo.

Why does it feel like the Moore insanity was 2 years ago?
Because that is how the Legacy plays it, lying through omission. Virtually 0 honest accurate reporting about Moore post firing. Whittingham was forced out by phone/tablet addicted punk AD and if Moore( whats dudes first name??) Kyle Whittingham lands at Mich because of Ageism mistreatment and his Nordic descent.

it's more than a magical spell. some teams adjust to the prep and travel and travel back and jet lag and prep and so on. others don't.

last year k-state had a solid outfit. it should have been competing for a championship. but with that ireland loss to iowa state it felt like some of the emotion went sour and maybe some of the guys checked out. in the end it was a bad beginning that eventually broke chris klieman, a very fine man and excellent coach. thus, here we sit with our favored son taking the reins.

in my view, it's not a curse, it's an illogical "home team" choice to start with, compounded by a lot of uniqueness that has a negative impact on one team or the other. sometimes both. unc wasn't exactly stellar either.
whether it is a curse or not........ only time will tell. If TCU wins 5-6 games or less then the "curse" talk will continue for another 18 months or more.

Was I supposed to type something here?

I think they are morons of the most stupid order. "Well, I guess I'm going to Hell" never seems to get over their transom of understanding, and it never will. This is why millions of schoolchildren cannot read, write, or do basic math. Thus, the higher understanding of books will be denied them until they learn on their own how to read.

Agreed. But one thing to consider, their best seasons were not their first. First and foremost, I am not a Sonny fan. I think if he coaches out his contract, he will drop below .500. We always start slow and take ourselves out of conference champ contention early. That will not change, not with Sonny here.

I think there’s a lot of schools/fans out there that would have killed to go 9-4 with two bowl wins the past two years. As a CU alum, I’m one of those.
