ALL BIG 12 TEAM

@tcudoc - It looks like kick and punt returners were not recognized on all Big 10 teams in the '90's, so scratch Charles Woodson. Champ Bailey was not All SEC as a receiver.
This sounds kind of crazy but it looks like back in the single platoon days, only offensive players were recognized as all conference. Or else Dick Butkus almost assuredly would've been All Big 10 as a linebacker. He was first team All Big 10 as a center in 1963 (junior). From what I can tell.
I can't find an all Ivy League team in the 1940's when Chuck Bednarik was also a C/LB at Penn. He was first team All American in '47 and '48.
Paul Hornung was at independent Notre Dame but he was All-American twice as a halfback who also played safety. But again, that was single platoon in the 1950's and I don't see defensive selections.
So to answer your question, Hunter may be the first.
Maybe someone older or wiser than me knows differently.

No doubt he was a great college player. It will be interesting to follow his career post-Deion. He’s got all the ability, but is his head is on straight.

By all accounts he’s like a middle aged dude. Has his longtime girl. Has a home near campus. Goes to school and practice and goes home. Never in any trouble. Investing his money. Laying low all the time. They really don’t have discipline issues with any of their star players at Colorado. Prime for all his flash is pretty damn old school. He works his butt off to keep his players from making some of the mistakes he made chasing fools gold. How he communicates and projects may be annoying to some folks but he sure seems to run a program that keeps the school out of any negative light and grows up a lot of young men.

Travis Hunter was first him all big 12 on office and defense. When was the last time a player was selected first team all conference on both sides of the ball?
I mean, there was me, when I played for the Wolverines in 3rd grade and we lost every game but I kicked ass at fullback and linebacker and kick returner. That would've been around 1970, so yeah, it's been a while.

One of my biggest pet peeves, dudes celebrating like they just hit a walk-off HR to win Game 7 after making an ordinary play while their team gets its ass handed to them. Such a huge lack of awareness and so awkward and dooshy.

I think it was a game where OU was beating A&M 77-0 and there was a goal line stand play by an Aggie who jumped up and did an “in your face” celebration dance.
