Looks like great bowl game but still remember so many things about that stadium that were just old. Says there was big remod in 23, finished in 24. Anyone been in it since?

I’m trying to revive this. I’d like to know as well if there have been any renovations/improvements to the Alamodome.? Anyone know?

Had Domino’s delivered to the hotel after the Oregon game. I bet we watched that sportscenter replay 10 times before calling it a night.

they haven't started the master remodel or plan yet which includes a new spurs arena. the whole thing will be around $10 billion.
eat a large lunch and look out for taco trucks near the stadium before game. order two beers for yourself everytime you get to concessions when in the stadium, consider bringing a sherpa

Are you sure about that? SoFi Stadium was around $5 billion, and it was the most expensive in history by a factor of 2x, or more.

the master plan for the sports complex, spurs, alamo dome, moving highways, hotels with 1000 rooms/retail has balooned to soemthing around 9 billion as of just last week. lots of green space and should be commuter friendly.

Understood. It’s nice we have a decent Bowl game that everyones excited about but after you arrive you’re disappointed with the venue. Does that make sense? I remember all the bitching and moaning from previous years. How do you think our snobbish friends from L A might feel? Oh my!

The $23.2 million renovations from 2024 include the addition of 18 suites to the Alamodome, replacement of elevators and escalators throughout, and new finishes to the upper level. also renovated the existing 52 suites and the concessions areas. The corridors on the club level and restrooms on all levels were also upgraded.
- Kitchen and point of sale Updates: Modernized kitchen equipment and point-of-sale areas
- Aesthetic Improvements: New flooring, wall paint, LED monitors, signage, and sound systems

Same. And then proceeded to get waterboarded by the stairwells leaving that miserable game where all the water from the stadium was running down all the steps like a damned rip tide.
just added to the overall mood of that whole day….

Most uncomfortable seats ever. Knees were crammed into the seatback in front of me. By the time the game was over i was so stiff I could hardly walk down the stairs.

Holy cow! Pretty ambitious project for San Antonio. This will rival the LA Live area around the Lakers arena. It's more than just the Spurs new arena and the Alamodome upgrades, though. Full disclosure, I'm in the stadium business (or at least a portion of it). SoFi was designed to meet the architect's vision and they ignored many practical and pragmatic things in favor of "looking pretty." I guess that's pretty on brand for LA!
Having finished, polished concrete on the concourses is a disaster when it rains. I saw half a dozen people take falls, including some elderly people.
