Daphne dual-threat quarterback Trent Battle committed to Texas Christian late Thursday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound rising senior also had offers from Central Michigan, Coastal Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas A&M, South Alabama and Southern Miss among others.

“He’s a great talent,” Daphne coach Kenny King said. “He’s a true dual-threat guy who can deliver the ball well and also take off and go 80 yards with it. TCU is getting a heck of an athlete. I’m excited to see what he does.”
