Aggie- what the heck?

"It's a very strange thing, simply because of the timing. He had an offer from Texas A&M last year, and could have taken it. Currently though, the Aggies have 14 linebackers on their roster (three of whom are seniors, so we can subtract them and get to 11). However, they also have four linebacker recruits that have already signed their LOIs, as well as three more that are verbal commits.
That brings their linebacker total to 18 for next year.
Not including Hilliard."

No love loss for aggie but I swear it is almost as if Sherrill has come back to that school. Kevin Sumlin is trying to target TCU.

19 linebackers? What the heck. If it wasn't so sad it would be funny. TCU needs DT's and LB's and A&M can't get enough of them?

Wow, the incorrect info and supposition, much less the paranoia in this post is just goofy!
At the beginning of last season A&M had 10 LBs listed on scholarship (only considering the 85 schollies, not the entire roster). Of that 10, 3 will graduate, 2 have left the team during this season, and 1 sustained a broken neck requiring surgery. That leaves 4 LBs next year + 1 potential pending a final decision by his medical team. So I'd say the situation in College Station is nothing like you have depicted it. Sumlin is targeting many of the quality LBs in the state this year, as is Patterson. That would put them in quite a few head to head battles. I wouldn't consider that "targeting TCU".

BTW, Lennay is not funny.

That is strange that some of the recruits have signed LOI's, since you can't do that until February 1...
I believe what he meant is that they enrolled in school early (for this spring semester) There were only 3 LBs that enrolled early, Wade, Chevis, and Sanders. The other 2 will sign LOIs.

Sumlin & Aggies dominating Patterson and Frogs in recruiting this year.

And almost the rest of the country as well.
The Aggies are hot right now. Their coaches took the momentum of joining the SEC and Manziel winning the Heisman and are obviously growing that. Our winning the Rose Bowl and moving to the Big12 hasn't changed much in recruiting yet, starting to think it won't change much anyway

It is called reading comprehension. It was a quote from another source. If you notice I had a few question marks regarding that source.

Targeting is when the coaches tell their linebacker to take out an opposing teams reciever while he is in a vulnerable position. Throwing an elbow in his face and breaking his jaw then worshiping the cheap shot as the greatest hit ever. Pretty much sums up aggie.
