Best wishes to your dad. I hope he's ok.

Appreciate that.
Just several age related ailments, not all of which are really get better things. Its that time most kids dread and worry about I suppose. Pop getting old.

I hear ya. I still have all 4 of my grandparents. The youngest is 76. I know that a heart-break is bound to happen sooner than later. I try not to think about it but it makes me much more appreciative of the time I get to spend with them.

My best wishes to your dad. Getting old is something I am now adjusting to, I hope, so he has my sympathy as well as wishes for many years to come for both of us.

Not a boot guy. I had no interest.

Me either. I still have a pair of boots I bought 30 years ago and probably wore 6 times. But to me the boots weren't the point of the exercise. Wes could have offered a 44-cent stamp as a prize, and most of those who entered would have entered anyway.

Agree.
Just want to win for the sake of winning, something that seems to be lost in today's "everyone-gets-a-trophy" society these kids are growing up in.
I could start a new thread on the entitlement and laziness of kids entering the work force these days.
I don't think they preach hard work in J School anymore. It shows.

So was yours about the time you, BCG, and Greggo were driving to Boyd while snorting coke and enjoying a few "open containers"?

Tell us about the good ol days grampa. I like the part where you used to live in a cave, club women on the head, and drag them home...

Not to bring everyone down, but I'm only in my mid-30's and just lost my Dad last Tuesday somewhat unexpectedly. It has been incredibly painful, far greater than I imagined. The gravity and permanence of it have set in. My point is simply to concur with what you mentioned above- spend more time with those you love. You'll be so thankful you did. Trust me.

I feel for you. I was 23 when my father died (he was 54). And yes, I didn't spend enuff time with him.
