A&M to Manziel: Time to grow up

steelfrog

Tier 1
Johnny Manziel being told by Texas A&M to grow up

http://www.thevictor...-am-to-grow-up/

Looks like Hyman finally saw what the rest of the country outside the SEC has been seeing...including Mike Stoops.

Love the comments about leaving Johnny alone. I bet these were the same people slamming CP this fall and criticizing TCU.

When I was 19, my growing up experience was a one year tour of duty in Danang and Chu Lai. Please don't let people make excuses for young men - at the age of 20, it's time to man up.

Good luck, Johnny.

Maybe grandaddy can take him out for a cockfight and some gambling. Then during that tender family moment of bonding maybe grandaddy can tell him to walk the straight and narrow and not sell coke.

This is the only bad news A&M gets. Lately it seems if something goes wrong at TCU it snowballs to something huge. This guy dances around with wads of cash and booze, everyone makes excuses for him and that is the last we shall ever hear of it. Everything A&M touches is gold now days....ahhh I dream about 2010....perfect season, TCU can do no wrong.

Took a while for them to finally address his public actions. Fearless and cocky on the field may lead to some great plays and accolades, but fearless and cocky in real life may lead to redneck jokes and mugshots.

Saw some ESPN know-it-alls predicting back to back Heisman's for JM. I'm predicting the opposite. Big Sophomore slump next year with SEC DCs not being caught by surprise like they were this year and the fame going to his head a bit.

He seems to be that type that isn't bothered by the fame/pressure. As much as I'd like to see that, I don't think that will happen. I will be curious to see how defenses adjust to him next season though, and how much the loss of Joeckel will hurt them. I'm sure he'll have a good year with plenty of "wow" moments but I doubt it will be quite as successful as this season.

They have a RT that was projected to be a first rounder coming back to play LT. OL wont be a problem for them.
