The two biggest changes that need to happen this year, IMO, is establishing a running attack to grind it out, and getting stops on defense when we need it.

I think linebacker play is the key with the void left by Elarms-Orr and Obiazor. Time for Carroll to step up and the transfers Short and Teason to help form a solid tandem. Would also be great too have sort of home run threat opposit of Dwyer at wr. A similar void left by EMac.

Considering the gap left at the two LB spots, I thought we did a horrible job addressing that in the portal. I think Carroll will actually be a pretty good linebacker. But the only LB we picked up in the portal was a backup at Virginia Tech… I feel more comfortable with Teason just because he knows the system a little better, and I thought he had good moments last year.

I feel very good about WR. I think Dwyer is more than capable of handling WR1 duties. And opposite of him, you have Shelton and/or Dozie who both remind me of Johnston and Savion. Then on the interior we have Small and Everhart who both have flashed high ceilings. I think Small would’ve had a big year had he not been battling injuries all season. And with tight ends becoming a bigger part of the playbook, I fully expect Pimpton To have a big year.
