A 40 year stretch is hard to look past. I do think TCU is one of the more underrated programs from 1930’s thru the 1950’s

Interesting to go back to season results, especially in the 1950s...and even into the mid-1960s until the advent of two-platoon ball....TCU very often stood toe-to-toe with, and occasionally beat upper level teams, only to struggle with lesser Southwest Conference opponents....

I’m not surprised in the least.

From 30's to 60's, SWC was considered toughest venue in college football.
Let's put it this way- Frogs owned the league in 30's and 50's.
Not one of the best 50 programs-- Pshaw!
