30 to 0 at the end of the 1st quarter

The running back from Aledo had already quit for the day in the first 5 minutes.

The WR that was committed to TCU for 2 or 3 years, only to go UT at the last minute, was also blown up in that glorious 1st quarter.

Right before halftime we were up 30-0. Their kicker missed a reasonable FG and this UT fan sitting two rows in front of me turned to his lady and was like "Well...f--- this, let's get out here!"

Or let the kicker hold and the holder kick, the extra points, like UT did to us in AGC in the 1960’s.

It was indeed a glorious day. I had meet an old friend from tcu that after his soph year transferred to ut and and graduated from there. He was there to see the beat down. But he left in the 3rd. Great day, I think Turpin had 3 or 4 tds.

I was there for my 50th birthday with approximately 40+ of my closest friends who came in from various states. 10 of us flew in from Fort Lauderdale. It was definitely an amazing experience. Josh Doctson's catch in the end zone was TCUnbelievable - to quote Jim Wacker. We were up 50-0 while celebrating the big Five O.

Me too. Most don't know the significance of 82, but it would have been terrific retribution.

But, having seen so many Darrel Royal/UT intentional massacres of the Frogs beginning in 1968, I was so wishing that TCU could have held UT scoreless that day....However, a great TV shot was at the end of the first quarter with a Horn fan burying his face in his hands and the score showing 30-0 with the Frogs on top....

I knew it mid 70s-ish ... so I did have to look that up. 1974.

About a foot of snow everywhere. Cold as [ Finebaum ]. We drove to and back from Oklahoma in that crap --- took hours longer --- for the pleasure of that game and most of TCU football in the 1970s.
