I just went back to rewatch the videos on that last offensive series And I had the two last plays reserved in my head.

3rd and 3 and hoov pulls a handoff mesh to Battle with Dwyer also coming on a sweep R to L and keeps and gets stopped for a 2 yard gain.

4th and 1 it’s a direct snap to Denman w Hoov simulating a pitch to Dwyer going L to R and Denman gets stopped for no gain And turnover on downs

 

[Fosterpark Squatter]

If you were at the game you might have heard me, as they were lining up, saying that going for it was stupid. In any case, glad we won. On another note, if you happen to come to Houston again for a TCU vs UH sporting event, I highly recommend the Hilton they have on campus. Customer service was great, and Eric's restaurant (in the hotel) was a very pleasant surprise.

After one of Hoover's INT's, a nearby Frog fan tried to get the crowd to chant "Schobel! Schobel! Schobel!" It didn't take. He looked around and said, "Nobody?" He then produced his long middle finger toward the field.

I must say, even though I feel I aged 10 years watching that game, it was a jovial atmosphere before and after. The UH fans were pleasant, and after the game they...well, the fans who were students...were enjoying themselves and having a nice night in spite of the loss. They have a Bill Yeomen statue just outside the stadium, which I though was a really nice touch.

Went to the early SMU game since I was making the trip, honestly surprised we beat em in September but glad we did.
