Our RPI is also up to 23 now. We have got to keep winning both the big ones and the small ones to have any chance at getting back up into the national seeds.

We have a good opportunity tomorrow. I was really hoping we'd get a shot at the Aggies in the regional last year, but this would still be a sweet victory.

Here's the resume building games we have left with their RPIs.

Apr 13
vs 25 Texas A&M

Apr 20
at 27 Oklahoma

Apr 27
vs. 32 Baylor

Apr 28
at 32 Baylor

May 7 - May 9
at 24 New Mexico

May 12
at 38 Texas St

Everything else will be RPI killers no matter what and resume killers if we lose them.

... one spot from 12 to 11.

College Baseball Polls

Edit: looks like ESPN doesn't have the BA poll up yet, so ...

Baseball America

I don't follow college baseball much but it seems weird to me that ASU went 3-2 last week (28-3 overall) and fell from 1 to 3 and UCLA went 2-2 (25-3 overall) and moved from 3 to 1.

I'm really worried that we'll have to win out to have any shot at a national seed. If the team that I watched all weekend in Houston is the team we see the rest of the year, it will happen. But, that's a lot to ask of this team to be consistently that good for 2 months.

UCLA took a series at #18 Oregon St (RPI 10). That's a big deal.

I guess, but they have a worse overall record and a worse record last week than ASU.

ASU went 3-2 last week vs #35 and #40 in the RPI.

UCLA went 2-2 last week vs #10 and #12 in the RPI.

UCLA has played three less games than ASU or they might well have the same record.

UCLA's overall SOS is rated #2. ASU's overall SOS is rated #30.

So why was ASU ahead in the first place?
