247 Sports: Where TCU Commits Will Be In Action This Week

The regional round of the playoffs will happen this week with eight of TCU’s 2019 commits still in action helping their teams get closer to a state championship.

Darwin Barlow | Newton

Barlow and Newton (12-0) will battle Daingerfield (9-3) on Thursday night at 7:30 at Lufkin’s Martin Stadium. Barlow and his Eagle teammates continued their dominance through the Class 3A Division II playoffs with a 69-14 win over Troup last week. Barlow was big in the win as he carried just 9 times but totaled 154 yards and 3 touchdowns. The rushing yardage put Barlow over 2,000 yards for the season with 36 touchdowns. He’s averaging a whopping 14.1 yards per carry.

In Thursday night action Newton destroyed Daingerfield and Burton lost a heartbreaker to Falls City. Newton will play in the state semis next week. Looking forward to seeing these kids on TV in the title game.
