Three Horned Frogs Hear Names Called on Day One of 2026 MLB Draft

The 2026 MLB Draft got going on Saturday afternoon, with the first four rounds of the draft taking place in Philadelphia. Three Horned Frogs heard their names called in the midst of the three rounds.
The final 16 rounds will take place on Sunday.
Brunson Drafted by Washington Nationals at No. 42 (Rd. 2)
Chase Brunson was the first Horned Frog off the board, going to the Nationals in the second round. Brunson spent three seasons as TCU's starting center fielder, stepping on the field from San Clemente High School and making an immediate impact as a freshman. He hit 26 home runs in his career, amassing 122 RBIs. In 2026, he posted a .462 on-base percentage to lead the Frogs.
