TCU's Josh Hoover and Namdi Obiazor bring home Big 12 weekly honors​

TCU quarterback Josh Hoover and linebacker Namdi Obiazor bring home Big 12 player of the week honors. ​

TCU's Josh Hoover and Namdi Obiazor brought home conference honors following their performance in the Frogs' 35-21 win over Colorado. Hoover brought home Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week while Obiazor brought home Defensive Player of the Week.

Hoover accounted for all five touchdowns in the win. The junior quarterback completed 23-of-33 passes for 275 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions while adding 20 yards on the ground with another score from 1-yard out.

For the year Hoover has completed 113-of-168 passes for 1,517 yards with 15 touchdowns and four interceptions. His yardage and touchdown total ranks second in the Big 12.

Obiazor had a great game --- except one weird play in which he quit before finishing a tackle and the ball carrier continued downfield another 10 yards. For some reason he thought the play was over but there was no whistle and the player had the ball and was fighting for yards.
