TCU SS Anthony Silva set to return for junior year

TCU shortstop Anthony Silva plans to return to school for his junior year, he announced on social media on Monday. Silva, a draft-eligible sophomore, had not been drafted in the first eight rounds of the 2024 MLB Draft when he made his announcement.
Silva spent the past two seasons with the Horned Frogs after originally removing his name from the 2022 MLB Draft and heading to Fort Worth.
The San Antonio native earned the starting shortstop job as a true freshman, playing an integral role in TCU's return to the College World Series for the first time since 2017. He made 61 starts in his first season, slashing .330/.471/.413 with seven home runs, 50 RBIs and 17 stolen bases.
