TCU's 2025 recruiting momentum continued on Tuesday as they received their 23rd commitment for the class with Fort Worth All Saints defensive lineman Blake Robinett committing to the Frogs.

The 6-foot-3, 265-pounder committed to UNLV last month, but his recruitment changed when TCU extended an offer on Monday. It took less than 24 hours for Robinett to decide to stay close to home.

Robinett also held offers from Oregon State, North Texas, UTEP, Washington State and Toledo among others.

See the NCAA v House settlement. Roster limits are going up to 105, no walk-ons. You don't have to have 105 scholarship football players, but you can and those that can afford to will get to or near that number. That means twenty more players on scholarship toward the bottom of the roster who might previously not have been at your school. For TCU it also likely means that many of the players who would previously have been at the top of our roster talent-wise will have room found for them at one of the two-dozen or so programs that outrank us courtesy of being blue-bloods and/or being in the SEC or Big Ten. I think we'll end up picking a lot of those guys up in the transfer portal when they give Notre Dame, Michigan, Florida, etc. a try and decide to return to Texas, but most likely our high school recruiting will look a bit different than we're accustomed to in the new era.

As for this commit specifically, looks like he's got a pair of moobs that could develop nicely. Perhaps that is what is meant by recruiting staying "hot"? I don't know. It's a new world; I'm just trying to adjust.

Stays hot?!?! ????????? We're taking players from UTEP, University of North Texas and Toledo........
You may sort of have a point, but you have no idea what scholarship level these players were offered at. Are they 25%, 50%, 75%, or full scholarship players?
With the new 105 limit in ‘25, including newly implemented fractional scholarships, many teams can now afford to be speculative on the growth of lineman.
Who knows, maybe one of these guys gains 50 lbs over the next 2 years working with Kaz, and we get a starter.

Does TCU need to take lower quality HS players now? Good SEC teams + Ohio State / FSU / Clemson / Oregon now have 20 scholarships extra each….that’s at least 200 scholarships and better NIL to take up most of the 4 stars…
