TCU QB Josh Hoover talks season, challenges of facing No. 12 BYU
TCU quarterback Josh Hoover met with the media on Tuesday to discuss the Frogs' upcoming game against BYU.
Jeremy ClarkTCU has a tough road game this Saturday as they travel to Provo, Utah to face the No. 8 BYU Cougars. The Frogs are coming off a tough 20-17 loss last week to Iowa State, which dropped their conference record to 3-3. The road doesn't get easier facing a BYU team that is coming off a 29-7 loss to Texas Tech and sits in second place in Big 12 standings.
Frogs' quarterback Josh Hoover completed 34-of-50 passes for 319 yards and a score, but also tossed two crucial interceptions early in the game.
Hoover has thrown for 2,690 yards with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions on the year. He has surpassed the 300-yard mark four times this season.
The Frogs will need the best version of Hoover on Saturday if they're to pull off the major upset. Road games have been problematic for Hoover this season with five of his interceptions coming in road games.
TCU and BYU will face each other for the first time since 2023, a game that the Frogs dominated; 44-11. In that game Hoover made his first career start and threw for a whopping 439 yards with four touchdowns.
Hoover met with the media on Tuesday to discuss the season, the early turnovers, facing BYU and remembering how he played against a similar defense the Cougars had in Fort Worth in 2023. See what Hoover had to say in the video above.
