TCU QB Jaden Craig recaps performance from spring camp

JEREMY CLARK

TCU completed 2026 spring camp on Tuesday, wrapping up 15 practices. The Frogs installed a new offense under offensive coordinator Gordon Sammis and for the first time in three seasons, had a different quarterback taking first team reps at quarterback; Jaden Craig.

Craig made the jump from Harvard, where he was a three-year starter and set school records. Many TCU fans were anxious to see how Craig would respond to the increased size, speed and athleticism of playing against P4 competition.

For now, Craig looks to be passing the test.

Think he threw more picks in the spring than he did all his years at Harvard.
Welcome to P4 football! I think he’ll be fine once he settles into the speed of the game at this level. I’m definitely glad we start off with basically four easy to “should win” games. I also think it’s a testament to how good our secondary might be this year too.

He alludes to Denman in his comments when talking about the RB room. Says he hears really good things about one of them that hasn't been available yet. Haven't heard a status update so hopefully he gets ready soon.

Ravens sign former UConn QB Fagnano. Threw lots of TDs and rarely threw INTs. Hope this bodes well for Craig and TCU under Sammis. Craig seems like a really good fit for Sammis.
Jesse Minter is very good friends with the preacher coach @ Vanderbilt Clark Lea. The Fagnano signing is to make Pavia look good. Fagnano is probably the worst QB to throw at the combine at the combine in the last 20 years.

@SW toad - Senior year, threw for 3,500 yards, 28 TDs, 1 Int,, nearly 70% pass completions, and had Heisman consideration, on the way to an NFL contract. I’d say he did a lot of things right.

Did you watch the throwing at the Combine?? Maybe the Raven's summer plans are to exodus Pavia via Pagnano.

You have to keep in mind what defenses Pagnano was throwing against. Cent Conn., Delaware, Ball State, FIU, FAU.

Additionally Fagnano had a player who I believe will be a breakout star for the Bills--- Skyler Bell. UConn's WR Chris Parker not to shabby.

OK the point is a guy Sammis coached has a shot in the NFL that average QB's don't get. Hopefully Craig is the next. If so, that probably means a very good TCU football season. Out.

In the right offense he is serviceable but has limited arm strength. He completes short passes accurately by reading the coverages well.
I’m no X and O guy (band geek) but if he can do that and RB’s make consistent gains behind solid O line blocking—I’ll take it. Rather than hold-your-breath on 40 yard passes that could be INT. Grind it out & score drives keep our Defense fresh too.
