TCU overcomes four turnovers to defeat No. 23 Houston; 17-14
TCU ended a two-game losing skid with a 17-14 win over No. 23 Houston.
Jeremy ClarkHouston, Texas – TCU ended a two-game losing skid with a hard-fought win over No. 23 Houston on Saturday night, defeating the Cougars 17-14. A late missed field goal from Houston sealed the win for the Frogs.
A huge punt return from Jordan Dwyer in the fourth quarter led to the go-ahead score for the Frogs.
The win improved the Frogs to 7-4 overall and 4-4 in Big 12 play. Houston dropped to 8-3 and 5-3 in conference play.
The Frogs overcame four turnovers on the night, including three interceptions. It was the first time TCU has won a game throwing three interceptions since the 2018 Cheez-It Bowl.
