On June 6th, everything changed. Judge Claudia Wilken approved the House vs. NCAA settlement, allowing universities to directly compensate student athletes and officially welcoming a new era of college athletics.
Six months into his role as Director of Intercollegiate Athletics for TCU, Mike Buddie has the Horned Frogs ready to hit the ground running in this new reality. The university has already committed to spend up to the $20.5 million revenue cap in year one, a cap that will increase by roughly 4% annually.
Buddie sat down with HornedFrogBlitz recently to discuss TCU's in-house NIL strategy, scholarship rules now and in the future, and his understanding of the punitive side of everything NIL.
