Big 12 Media Days began on Tuesday with TCU head coach Sonny Dykes as the first coach of the conference to take the podium.

The Frogs are coming off a 5-7 season in 2023 and as a result some changes were made during the off-season. The major change came when Dykes replaced former defensive coordinator Joe Gillespie with former Boise State head coach Andy Avalos.

Avalos brings an aggressive style on defense, utilizing a four-man base up front with pressure being applied from all kinds of angles. Avalos was one of the most successful coordinators in college football in 2019-2020 while at Oregon as the Ducks had a top 10 defense.

Dykes should have pulled the trigger last year especially after that piss poor performance in the championship game. We were lucky to beat Michigan with that crappy defense. We were lucky Michigan went to sleep on us. They almost came back on us.

We were lucky to have some very savvy players in that Playoff game. Timely turnovers kept us in that game, in addition to a magnificent catch and run...

Two Pick 6's, blew up their stupid Philly Special, and don't forget the replay-review-one-buttcheek-down-on-the-one-inch-line-reversal-erasing-a-Wolverine-touchdown-leading-to-a-fumble-at-the-goal line-and-Frog-recovery sequence. We likely lose if we don't get that call.
