Watching the Columbus-Malakoff game again I'm even more impressed by Schobel's maturity and preparation. I think he has the potential to be exceptional at that proverbial "next level." Do we have a coaching staff capable of teaching, mentoring, and bringing out the talent he's bringing to Fort Worth?
Well, our head coach helped Jared Goff turn into the #1 pick in the draft so I would say he’s capable of teaching and mentoring QBs.

Wex, that goes against the narrative of anti-Dykes no matter the lens. We could win the Big 12 next year and we'll have a portion of the fan base say, "yeah, but can he prove that he can do it year in / year out."

They likely had no idea that Goff was his anyway

I saw Schobel do something very hard to coach and something that helps QB’s create their own shot, with about 4:00 left in the half in that game.

QB drops back, no one open, starts to turn his upper body and his hips, just a little, to his right, like he is going to run to the right hand sideline, this influences the engaged DE on that side to start fading to the sideline to plot an intercept, with the OT still on him, as the DE & OT dance wider, QB turns it upfield into the space the DE and OT just vacated.

Marcos Davila decommitted from the Frogs 2024 class after Hejny committed to the class. He then went to Purdue and just transferred to Nebraska on December 20. Part of the reason he committed to TCU was having been a fan.

His situation reminds of a QB that was a backup but played high school at a private school like Fort Worth Country Day or All Saints. This all happed in the last years of CGP. The initials of the name of the player was FS. A family member would wave a cardboard sign with the players name a number. Then when he got some mop up time they had a message that is was about damn time he played. In a certain way, I feel bad for the player to have family members that act in such a childish manner.

I think many smaller guys see Kyler Murray and think that could be them. Others see the guys that were 4 year starters and think that is me. I understand wanting to play. Getting splinters from the bench/clipboard isn't fun. Some of the great players are those that put their ego aside and let someone help them. It might be waiting for your turn to play. It might also be trying a different position.

All the above.
