TCU football headed to Isleta New Mexico Bowl​

TCU football is headed to the Isleta New Mexico Bowl and will face Louisiana.

TCU officially knows its bowl game destination. The Frogs will head west to Albuquerque and play in the Isleta New Mexico Bowl and face Louisiana Lafayette. The game is scheduled for December 28 with kickoff set for 12:15 p.m. MST. The game will be televised on ESPN.

The Frogs enter the game with an 8-4 record, which includes a 5-1 mark in their final six games of the season. Louisiana comes in at 10-3 and fresh off an appearance in the Sun Belt Conference Championship.

It will be the first time in program history TCU has played at the New Mexico Bowl, which is played at University Stadium on the campus of The University of New Mexico.

I watched TCU get thumped by New Mexico in that stadium (1996), when the Lobos were coached by Fran and Gary. There was no one at the ticket booth or the gate, so I guessed the admission was free.
