TCU Completes Sweep of New Haven with 20-1 Run-Rule Victory

FORT WORTH – TCU completed a comprehensive sweep of New Haven with a 20-1 victory on Sunday afternoon.
New Haven took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, as three singles drove in the games first run on TCU starter Uli Fernsler. Fernsler managed to limit the damage and pitch through the first three innings of the ballgame. His third inning was his best, as the freshman lefty retired the Chargers in order, striking out the last two to complete his outing.
Fernsler, on a 60-pitch limit as he continues to be stretched out after recovering from an injury, threw 56 pitches.
