TCU, Big 12 Conference release statements regarding Oklahoma and Texas leaving the Big 12

With Texas and Oklahoma formally announcing that they would not be renewing their grant of rights in the Big 12 which ends in 2025, it now leaves eight schools wondering what the next step will be.
Among those programs is TCU, who could be looking at yet another conference in their future. Since the Southwest Conference disbanded in 1995, the Frogs have played in four conferences and would’ve played in five if the Big 12 didn’t come along in 2012 shortly after TCU accepted a bid to play in the Big East.
Since the news broke late last week, TCU has remained quiet on the situation. Neither athletics director Jeremiah Donati nor Chancellor Victor Boschini had released a statement. On Monday afternoon, the school finally broke its silence with a statement.
