247 Sports: TCU Baseball Misses NCAA Tournament

I don't know if they upgraded the facility but UCLA's stadium was pathetic by even high school standards when I was out there for the 2012 super regional. They trounced us that year and won the CWS the next year.

Better facilities would be nice but better coaching would be even nicer.

Saw a stat, maybe on here. Listed home state of all MLB players. California #1 at like 176. Next were Florida and Texas at about 95-85.

Maybe UCLA's roster is home grown. I will have to look.

Think this might be some mixed data. NCAA D1 rosters are now capped to 34 players max.
Edit: I guess those other schools may have used the DSA tag on a few existing players as a way to keep more that 34 around while the ncaa allows it.

California does have more players in the MLB than any other state by a big margin. So it would make sense to recruit there heavily. That being said, recruiting is one thing and coaching and developing them is another.
