Josh Hoover's big night and stout defense lead TCU to 42-17 win over Baylor
Jeremy ClarkFort Worth, Texas – TCU had one of their best games of the season in a dominating 42-17 win over Baylor at Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The win also ended a three-game losing streak for the Frogs.
TCU improved to 5-6 on the season and kept their bowl hopes alive as they travel to Oklahoma next Friday in the regular season finale. The win also improved the Frogs’ to 3-5 in Big 12 play. Baylor dropped to 3-8 overall and 2-6 in Big 12 play and have now lost four consecutive games.
TCU used a dominating performance from Josh Hoover and a career day from tight end Jared Wiley to pace the Frogs’ offense. Hoover completed 24-of-29 passes on the day for 412 yards with two scores while Wiley had a career-high 178 yards and two scores. Emani Bailey led TCU rushers with 53 yards and two scores on 16 carries. As a team the Frogs’ totaled 531 yards of offense.
