Iowa State DB Greg Eisworth impresses TCU HC Gary Patterson

TCU head coach Gary Patterson knows a good defensive player when he sees one. He’s particularly impressed with one of Iowa State’s top players; safety Greg Eisworth.
A local product out of South Grand Prairie, Eisworth in his second year as a Cyclone is one of the big reasons why the defense has played so well under Matt Campbell. In his first year as a starter after transferring from Trinity Valley Community College, Eisworth was named the Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year in 2018.
TCU is no stranger to recruiting players out of South Grand Prairie. During Eisworth’s junior year the Frogs’ landed receiver Jaelan Austin in the 2015 class. Atanza Vongor is currently a redshirt freshman at TCU and was a sophomore during Eisworth’s senior season.
