Frogs' CB Josh Newton talks fall camp, path to TCU
ByJEREMY CLARKTCU landed ULM transfer cornerback Josh Newton earlier this year. The 6-foot, 188-pound Newton spent three seasons at ULM and got plenty of playing time in each of the past two seasons as a boundary corner. He started 24 consecutive games for ULM.
In 2021, he collected 48 tackles, two interceptions and eight pass breakups.
Newton has become a solid player in a crowded and talented cornerback room for the Frogs. Through the first four practices of fall camp, Newton has already made an impact working with the second team defense at cornerback.
