Boston Red Sox draft Payton Tolle with No. 50 overall pick in 2024 MLB Draft

Payton Tolle is a member of the Boston Red Sox.
Tolle became the first Horned Frog off the board in the 2024 MLB Draft on Sunday/Monday after Boston took him in the second round with the 50th overall pick.
Tolle, the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, posted a 7-4 record with a 3.21 ERA, striking out 125 hitters in 81.1 innings pitched, good for fifth most in the country. Tolle, a Wichita State transfer, was TCU's most consistent arm throughout the season, giving them seven quality starts, including a 15 strikeout, complete game shutout of Oklahoma State on March 22.
