Yep, that's the correct call. If you fall into the path of the throw, that's on you. Looks like he was crowding the plate to start and also stepped slightly forward from his swing.

I don't like the sheep scheissers but that atmosphere is crazy. Has to drive the pitcher nuts in that situation. I remember how loud they got here in game 3 of the 2015 Super and that was a road game for them. It has to be crazy loud at Olsen against UT.

Long ago while coaching my son, his team got a rematch in the state tournament with a team they had beaten like 9-5 during the season. His team put things together at the right time. It was July so it was hot (well, Minnesota hot).

In the first inning they scored 12. The poor opponent was out in the sun for a good 40 minutes. They finally came in to bat... and went down 1-2-3.

My son's team then scored something like 10 more the next inning (another 35 in the sun for the opponent). After a couple runs, we as coaches said, take the bases you earn but don't try to stretch anything. Final was 26-2 and we were apologizing to the other coach but it's baseball. Miserable to win or lose by that score.

Sacramento state beat ucla today, 9-6. They were up 9-3 at one point in the game.
