In 2023 Randon Fontenette, probably the highest ranked safety TCU ever landed out of High School transfers to Vanderbilt. Then Brown, with offers from Miami, OU, Missouri and a sub 10.63 100 decommits from TCU and commits to Vandy same day? I get any of the above schools or a close by program for either Brown or Fontenette. Nashville$$?? 10 hour drive.

Please help me with the nexus. I think it is probable that Jerry Kill and/or a staffer from Vandy is full bore on The TCU program and trials/tribs..

I have heard through business associates that Nashville is competing with much larger Metros to be one of the next "clean escort" cities in the US -think Meaghan Markle/Heidi Fleiss. Essentially, the black market of failing/failed actresses.

I think we need to face the fact that we haven’t been the same in the recruiting sphere ever since we lost our two recruiting gurus to ASU and UT. Ever since then, we haven’t been able to close out on any of our top targets, and lost some flips to schools we frankly shouldn’t be losing out to.

Clark Lea and the Vanderbilt coaching staff are hot on the recruiting trail after adding now a third commitment in as many weeks to the Commodores' upcoming classes.

After landing 2027 quarterback Luke Babin on September 29, and 2026 cornerback Antione Baker on October 4, Lea and the staff have struck once again, this time flipping a commitment from another highly respected power four program.

3-Star safety Bradley Brown from Plano, Texas took to social media on Friday, October 10 to officially announce his commitment to the Commodores, choosing Vanderbilt over his previous choice of TCU.

Anyone want to take bets the Qb from DVille that went to Alabama last yearhits portal this year?
I watched at least a couple hours of Alabama's spring practice and part of spring game. There was a week where legitimate football people were watching and unequivocally thought D Villes Keelon Russell would win the starting job. There were a few days where staff favorite Austin Mack was the favorite. Ty Simpson with another year of eligibility won the starting job. I think Russell is going to break the bank during recently changed NIL short window.

The questions are 1) When are Texas schools going to keep letting QB and other talent leave the state?
and 2) Who are the TCU players who are as good as gone? Nate Palmer is at the top of my list.

Anyone have an opinion on why our recruiting is trailing SMU, Houston,Baylor, Kansas, Tech( $), and Arizona, per ESPN , Rivals, etc. ?

Is this a " temporary" situation that should be corrected by the end of signing period, or is this a trend that should be concerning ?

Mostly because we are behind with NIL money but also because Sonny & Co. aren't very good at recruiting. Yes its a long term trend that we all should be worried about.
