Not true the prior couple years, they were much better. 2026 class is a nice depth filling group with the hope that more than a few will excel.

Tech has a billionaire pumping up their recruiting so its silly to even bring them into the conversation.

Head-to-head we are getting the better of BU and overall I don’t understand their strategy.

Definitely doing better than OU
Well Dave explains it all here....

Weekly Fall-Out Sports Talk - 125 - Inside the Journey of The Woodlands Highlander QB Jack Dalton

Watched most of this online video and it is clear that those interviewers are promoting him to the SEC BIG. Look at this kid's tape/film. He has serious wheels. When I looked at his film 2-3 months back. I thought Meh, 6'1 180 Lbs. solid 3 star and 84 ranking 247 winter of 2024, It seems that Kendal Briles has found a gem. Perhaps an hybrid Antelope.

Tech lands the #1 edge rusher in the 27 class. They’re just flat out ignoring the $20.5M cap until they get punished.
NIL and Revenue sharing are 2 different things. There is supposed to be an NIL clearinghouse to determine market value. Not sure how that is supposed to work.

Per Greg Dooley (U Mich Professor), Deloitte will review each transaction over $600 to make sure that the money provided to an athlete matches the value of the endorsement. Meaning if a business gives a player an NIL it has to match the value of the services provided. How you do that, is magic, but the idea of just paying a player whatever is supposedly over.

I thought the NIL settlement by congress was suppose to end all this pay for play by boosters. Players are still eligible to get deals with Nike, Lululemon, Adidas, etc. but the boosters just handing them money was suppose to end. Am I missing something here?

Yes true. TTech is west of the Pecos so therefore they can operate without impunity. For a while. Hopefully, the Score Act that is being held up in congress by dummycrats will rectify. Tom Tubberville the former coach at TTech once said "Lubbock reminds me of Iraq". The dustbowl in the '30s forever ruined the soil and teeth of many of my friends and relatives from Borger and Amarillo.

Cheaters will always cheat. Rules are only as good as the punishment for breaking them. This won’t stop until someone is there to enforce it and not look the other way.

I am a Texas native born and grew up El Paso. I have gone amateur spelunking and tubing on and around the Pecos. Went on a revolver testing/shooting on the Pecos out by Santa Rosa in '20. I put this out to get people's ideas/beliefs on where west Texas is. Abilene and Sweetwater along with Lubbock are not in West Texas. The Acequias and concrete aqueducts that flared the Pecos out by Plainview and Tahoka is what has caused many people to believe Lubbock is west of the Pecos. These man made tributaries I know do not make Lubbock west of the Pecos
What do you think about Pepe coin?

Why? El Pasoans generally have an over-inflated sense of pride about their city and want everyone else to comment on it so highly.

Lubbock being in west Texas raises the quality of the term “west Texas”.
