TCU recruiting definitely hasn't gotten better under Dykes. This coaching staff has shown over the last three seasons that it can't seal the deal with heavily recruited prospects. Meanwhile we are getting out-recruited by Texas Tech and Baylor. You can say that it is money related if you want but for whatever reason, the staff isn't recruiting up to what they should be.

Okay but we shouldn’t be losing recruits to Houston… and we also lost out on a 4-star receiver to them.
Most of this recruiting/player personnel " treading water" situation seems to have started with the coaches leaving TCU over the past few years.

Zarnell Fitch -How do they let a guy like that go to T Tech ?
Bryan Carrington to ASU, Paul Gonzales DB coach to Baylor?? Anthony Jones Jr RB coach to USC.

All of these guys are great recruiters and know the territory. Heck, even Jarrett Anderson, TCUs former coach has recruited some decent NFL offensive lineman. Should have never let Dog Meacham go OSU.

How to fix ?? Well first, don't let good recruiters go & hire player personnel people who have either coached/played in NFL. Hire analysts and other staff who've played on championship teams. Why? because you can then tell kids what they want to hear. Malcom Kelly TCU WR coach has landed some fairly impressive talent.

Ryan Osborn, DL coach Ok State just plucked the top DL out of Arkansas. Osborn coached with the Ravens. University of Miami coach Hall of Fame DE Jason Taylor last month pulled the second best DLman out of Arkansas.

Not true the prior couple years, they were much better. 2026 class is a nice depth filling group with the hope that more than a few will excel.

Tech has a billionaire pumping up their recruiting so its silly to even bring them into the conversation.

Head-to-head we are getting the better of BU and overall I don’t understand their strategy.

Definitely doing better than OU

Bringing Chris Owen in has really helped.
