Damn I hope that's not real lol. TBH that's why I only buy blank jerseys now. I bought an Ian Kinsler jersey and then they traded him like a month later. And when MLB first started using Nike jerseys I had bought a Joey Gallo one. At least that one lasted a couple of years. I still have that one. It's just been hanging in my closet collecting dust.

My daughter wanted a Josh Smith jersey for Christmas. I told her I think they only have him locked up for one more year before they have to offer arbitration, then who knows? She didn’t care. Teenaged daughter and something about his pretty hair…. She wore it all day yesterday lol.

Crazy Stats - Tucker’s four years 240 million is fully guaranteed, he gets a 64 M signing bonus up front, and he can opt out after two years or three years! That is a great deal!

A small piece of it is deferred, so it comes out to 57 M per year, the highest in MLB, higher than Ohtani and Juan Soto.

• $30M deferred ($10M each of 2027, 2028, 2029)
• Deferrals lower the present date value to $228M ($57M per year)

His agent, Casey Close, just became the new hot agent, sheesh.

Almost all of Ohtani's 70 million per year is deferred until 2034 and beyond so his is valued at 46 M per year. Juan Soto's 15 years and 765 million puts him at 51 M per year, no deferrals.

King Tuck rules, and able to opt out if he thinks he can get more in two years.

The DAMN DODGERS just set a new high bar in ridiculous!!!

Major League Baseball owners are “raging” in the wake of Kyle Tucker’s free agency agreement with the Los Angeles Dodgers and it is now “a 100 percent certainty” that the owners will push for a salary cap, one person briefed on ownership conversations who was not authorized to speak publicly told The Athletic.

“These guys are going to go for a cap no matter what it takes,” the source said.

Enjoy 2026 MLB. There might not be another season for several years.
