Well they have obviously watched TCU gamesGuys on SC boards griping that he jas a hard time second halves.
There's alot of excited Gamecock fans on Twitter. The majority of them seem happy with the news.Guys on SC boards griping that he jas a hard time second halves.
Difference is LSU has won 3 NC in football, played for another, multiple baseball, womens BB, 2 Heismans, in this century PSU has won …..what?good beyond good. I really like this situation. Based On what I've read, Sitake was planted at PSU .He smelled the rank in Pennsylvania and said " Mountain towns for me" Sane University expectations for me.
Penn State and LSU will learn that expectations sometimes have a hard fail against real expectations.
I favored Napier over Dykes at the time. I wonder how he would have done here. Do we still go to the NC game? Would we have had better seasons, recruiting the last three? We will never know.
He certainly cashed in on his success at Louisiana.
Agree. 2022 was a perfect storm (though you even have to wonder if we go to the NC game if Morris remained the starter?) So many what ifs.Dykes (and Riley) was the perfect guy with perfect system at the perfect time for what we had. Long term who knows, maybe Napier could have done alright here, but I don’t think 2022 would have been the same with him.

Sonny got the job because he was at SMU and winning games against the Frogs. Had his SMU teams lost to TCU and otherwise had the same record he wouldn’t have even been in the radar.Watching Sonny build SMU, watching his teams whip us at The Carter in '19 and '21 -- and who knows might've made it 3 in a row if '20 wasn't cancelled -- plus his DFW/Texas ties and portal success -- I would've been happier with Sonny than Campbell if I knew he was a candidate. Time will tell.
He retired for the same reason Saban, Jay Wright, Tony Bennett, and others have retired, college sports is no longer about Xs and Os and building a culture but about donors writing checks, ego management, and recruiting your own players 24/7That was my first thought, too. Whynon earth would Klieman just retire? He’s not even 60.
also…star QB at Big 12 school turns into OC, has success at A&M and returns to his alma mater as head coach. I’ve seen this movie before. Hope this one ends the same way.

He did help fix our offense in 2017, and that’s what got him on the radar.
