glad they are keeping DJ as coordinator. catch 2 more balls and one less turnover and Auburn could have won the iron bowl. Not a bad showing as DJ managed to keep the team playing hard.

Auburn had some bad breaks on several close games this year. Could have been a completely different season with a few breaks. Karma for the hooker episode the way I see it. I’m sure Mrs. Auburn Head Coach liked hearing that one.

Generally, these guys will need five years. Let a proficient coach thrash around for several years at 8-4 or 9-3 and you increase your chances of putting together a magical class, maybe with a stud QB, in a cohesive system. It gives you the best chance to build something long-term on the rare 11-1 season. Gotta let the numbers work for you.

Don't think there will be a head coaching change this yr with the toads.

I can hear the PSU presser now…we got our guy! We did 14 national searches and interviewed 36 candidates and this guy…man, he really stood out. And kudos to our AD and board for making it happen. This is a big day at Penn State. The future is bright!

They are playing the long game. All these programs are going to be contractually obligated to overpay their coaches meanwhile that leaves more PSU booster money for players...

yeah, his hiring was not met with approval of a lot of the fan base and alumni. but folks thought he would hit paydirt again.
kinda like an OC hire we've seen.
