Cowboys not playing Vegas this week. Back to their average team again. Between TCU on Saturdays & Cowboys on Sundays, the Football Gods have been kicking me in the azz all season long!

See when u stop watching things go the opposite way. That’s what happens to me.
Honestly that's how I've started feeling about going to big games in person. I went to 4 postseason games during the Rangers World Series run in 2023 and we lost 3 of them, including the only loss in the World Series. It was different during the 2010 and 2011 postseason runs. TCU has lost every game I've ever went to at Cowboys stadium. LSU, Ohio State, 2017 and 2022 BiG 12 championships. And then of course that damn game in LA. TBH, I've started feeling like maybe I should just stay home if it's an important game for anyone.

Watching at home has its perks too. Best seats, no bathroom lines, better cocktails or wine, food of your choice and saving all that money on tickets - especially if your team loses. I want to throw up every time I think of how much I spent on that disastrous Georgia NC game. And I left early.

Was I supposed to type something here?

Lucky you. We were trapped until the bitter end, and had to walk a mile in a deluge...

Thank goodness they kept the bar open for us at the hotel!

That was the worst rainstorm I can remember out here. By the time we got to the car which was parked a country mile awhile it looked like we all jumped in a pool. I hit the bar hard when I got home lol. We got beat down on the field and fans got beat down by the weather. All around awful.

That georgia game still makes me want to kick my own ass. The only good thing about that trip was it stopped raining long enough for the pep rally and there was a wrestling show at The Forum that Wednesday that I stayed and went to. But I'd do it all over again, maybe just get a cheaper ticket to the game though lol. I'd hate myself if we would have won and I missed it.

I had took the shuttle from the library to the game. The shuttle pickup location after the game was in one of Sofi's parking lots. No protection from the monsoon or anything. It started raining so scheissing hard while we out there waiting on the bus and there was no where to hide. Just had to stand there and take it. It was miserable. I've never been that wet in my life. It was the perfect ending to a terrible night.

My uber driver to the wrestling show said that was the most rain they had in like 30 years or so. And then Tuesday and Wednesday ended up being great weather.

And it so rarely happens in LA that we get weather that extreme. Mother Nature picked a bad night to let loose. The only other time I remember getting drenched was leaving the Alamo Bowl in 2017 (was that the year?). We could not get an uber or taxi and had to wait forever it seemed to get back the hotel. Even worse, we were starving when we got back and nothing was open and there was no food to be found. We ended up ordering a pizza at about 1am. That was also not a very pleasant experience - however it was one of the most entertaining games I have ever been to. I think the rain saved me that night. If it hadn't been pouring outside we might have left at the half and missed that epic Bram comeback!!

We had a spot very close to the stadium…but got turned around and exited on the opposite side. And they wouldn’t let us back in to walk around under cover. Had to walk around the stadium in the rain. That day just needed a reset button.

That was 2016. We took the KFC bus down there so we didn't have to worry about ubers or anything. It sucked trying to get out of the AlamoDome itself. They had all the exits locked. There was 60k people trying to leave through one exit lol. We had bought field passes for after the game. You had to line up with so much time left in the 4th quarter. We didn't want to jinx anything so we stayed in our seats during the comeback and missed out on going down on the field for the trophy presentation. It really made me mad that we didn't go when we saw all the fans down on the field during OT. I was like scheiss, I could have been down on the field for the end of the comeback.
