2025-26 NFL thread

Jones claimed last night that he had made a substantial trade before the deadline, and expects a second and maybe third trade, all announced today. I‘m curious to see how much of the potential value of four 1st round picks over the next two years he decided to pizz away. I suppose he may have done something savvy but that seems unlikely.

Nothing exciting. We'll see what happens.

What a spirit breaker. I remember watching his MAC highlights the week after he was drafted from Western Michigan. He did not have the burst off the line of a Myles Garret, but his motor was unparalleled. Scored a TD off of a punt block recovery 68 hours ago.

Reminds me a little bit of RB Doug Martin who died last month. The 2 cases are wildly different, but they both had Mental Health issues the NFL and family members should have been more engaged in. I know, i'm saying persons closest to the two should have had a tighter assessment on both without ever being involved in a similar situation.

Doug Martin is the RB who ran in the winning TD against TCU in the 2010 "Quarantine Bowl" where the NCAA powers that be kept TCU& BSU away from the traditional powers. Doug Martin the multiple time Pro Bowler with Tampa, had arguably been neglected by the NFL and local mental health entities.

That's sad. It just shows that you never know what someone is going through. Pay attention to how your loved ones are acting if you think something may be going on.
It’s very sad, obviously. And while what you say is great advice, there’s only so much you can do. And honestly, since mental health issues have become less stigmatized and people seem more open to talk about their problems, suicide rates have gone up, so I’m not sure that really does much good.

It still doesn't hurt to ask someone if they're ok or if they need help with something. They're more likely to open up to someone that offers help instead of asking someone for help. Me personally, I won't ask someone for help, no matter how much I might need it. I don't want to feel like a burden or a problem. If you ask me on your own or offer to help me, I'm more likely to accept it.

The Raiders traded Jakobi Meyers today. Jack Bech is now listed as a starter in the 3 wide/1 tight end set on the Raiders depth chart on espn. Hopefully Bech can start getting some targets and playing time.
FIRE Pete Carroll!!!! Why the scheiss are you playing old assTyler Lockett instead of Bech when your season is already scheissed???? [ What the heck? ] are you doing??? You just traded away your best receiver so you can play a washed up receiver that was good for you like 10 years ago?? Is Jerry Jones running the Raiders also??
