Looks like Richard Toney Jr is headed to Purdue. What's interesting is the moment he committed, his recruiting overall grade jumped like almost 10 points. I remember seeing a video about this exact thing, the video claimed it's supposedly being done to manipulate strength of schedule for certain conferences. Not sure if it's true, but it sure is odd.

I wonder if you were seeing his highschool grade.

When he was in high school, 247 graded him at a 79. When he transferred to TCU, they gave him a 86. When he transferred out of TCU, he got a 85.

Hurricanes add transfer center James Brockermeyer to stout offensive line

The Hurricanes brought in a transfer center for the third straight season, adding former Alabama and TCU center James Brockermeyer.
What I heard was James people came to TCU before he entered the portal and said Miami had offered $X and wanted to know if TCU would match it which they did. Then Brock took it back to Miami and got more. He then came back to TCU and wanted more. He was then told he and his 2 brothers (one a grad asst and one injured for 2 years on scholarship) should all get out of the building asap. If true good on Sonny.

Sounds about on par for that family…

FWIW, over the years I have had a few employees that have done that, and I said good luck at your new job.

This is the story. Additionally, the money Miami paid is offensive for a player of his complete averageness.

Once again I’m left with the thought, I can tell these boosters did not watch one second of TCU football this year. Offering a lot of cash to someone who was brought in as a stop gap and was easily the worst of our five starting lineman. If Bennett doesn’t get hurt, don’t think he plays much at all this year.

Idk about THE worst. Harris was apocalyptically bad. But his run blocking was awful. But then again so was everyone else.
