The more I watch Manjack’s film, the more I like him. Reminds me a lot of Bech.

The UTSA kid on the other hand…I really don’t mean any disrespect, but why are we taking on a G5 kid who averaged 2.8 YPC. We needed a gamebreaker, not a project.

He was pretty productive in 22 and 23. I don’t know, maybe his line stunk.

Manjack was really all that productive either but their limitations at QB probably explains a lot of that.

Just have to see I guess.

Conference USA’s Freshman of the Year award in 2022.
I think he was hurt is why his numbers were down. He is not a project. He will be really good for the Frogs

Yes, Manjack is a great athlete.
A former poster sent me this on Manjack. The versatility is amazing.

Joseph played his last two seasons in high school at Tomball Memorial and Memorial won the district his senior season when he was named district MVP.

He rushed for over 1,000 yards, threw for over 300, caught 46 passes for over 1,000 yards, had over 200 yards in kick returns, accounted for 31 td's, and averaged over 40 yards per kick punting.

Those are good numbers, but to give you an idea of just how much the other coaches in that district thought of the kid he was voted MVP of the district, a district which had these performances the same season:

Cale Hellums, Tomball QB - 1,447 yards passing, 1,798 yards rushing, and 30 td's (Back up QB at Army)

Matthew Golden, Klein Cain WR - 1,300 total yards, 9 tds ( WR at Texas)

Jayden Blue , Klein Cain RB - 2,344 all purpose yards, 2,155 rushing yards, 9.5 ypc, 30 td's (Back up RB at Texas)

That is very Savion Williams of him to do that.
Manjack looked great against Texas last year, He had a career full of horrendous QB play other wise.

Boy, I like the swagger from the UTSA kid. He's a running back alright, right down to his shoe laces.
Barnes had really good back to back years in ‘22 + ‘23. He had 283 total carries for 1,566 total yards at 5.5 ypc.
I’d like to hear why the falloff in ‘24. Two other UTSA RBs had over 5.0 per carry, but Barnes only 2.8. Running back regression without injury is unusual.
But I’m sure the coaches must have checked into it, and got a satisfactory answer.
