McKennie scored today from the left back position. He's on a good run of form too. But Pepi is making a case for top striker at PSV. It's impossible to keep him off the pitch right now.

Just watched the SuperCopa final and Puli was the best player on the pitch. Milan went down 2-0 at the beginning of the 2nd half and Puli brought them back. Leao created a brilliant goal for the 1st, but Puli scored a brilliant 2nd and played a beautiful through ball to create the winner. Worth the watch if you have Paramount +.

Gio with a really great strike (the window to find goal was narrow and he hit it with sufficient pace from distance) to flip momentum and give Dortmund a chance. They were down 3-nil before this goal and are now down 3-2. Hopefully this will earn him more time that he utilizes well.

Puli was subbed off at half today with an injury. Not sure to what and how severe it is, but hopefully it's just precautionary. He's having a career year. It'd be awful for it to be derailed by an extended injury.

Pepi keeps scoring. Read yesterday that he's probably not going anywhere in the January window bc PSV thinks they'll make a lot more money off of him this summer. He's been in incredible form as a sub.

Sarge got back in the starting lineup today and scored a brace also. Now we just need Balogun to get healthy and our strike force will be ready for Nations League.

Tyler Adams had 2 assists today against a Forest side that's threatening to qualify for Champions League.

Pepi scored again today and got the start in the UCL win over Liverpool. Puli scored too in the UCL, but they lost, presumably due to a Yunus Musah red card. Those two are lighting it up for the clubs right now.

I've said it a million times, but CBS Sports needs to do every soccer broadcast across all leagues and levels of competition. I often have as much fun watching pre and post-game coverage than the game itself. This is hilarious.

This says a lot about McKennie's character, IMO. He's nearly been jettisoned twice in his short time at Juve and keeps putting his head down and working hard. He's made it impossible to keep him off the pitch and now he's representing his team as captain in UCL competition. Gotta admire the kid.

Was a great night for MNT players in Europe until Pepi’s injury. Damn.

+100. They have passed “Inside the NBA” as the best studio show in sport. I like NBC’s crew (Rebecca Lowe, the Two Robbies, and the Secretary of Defense are very solid if a bit dry), but I’d almost subscribe to a PL show with The King, Kate, Carra, and Big Meeks.

I know I’m getting older when I find myself needing subtitles for Carra and Meek’s accents.
