The players were in absolute shock and some in tears. Apparently he collapsed alone away from anyone.

From what I saw the one instance you could see, he was non-responsive or at least out cold. Looked like they were messing with his mouth trying to get air in maybe.

Amazing the difference a playable pitch makes. Pepi is motivated and also getting spot starts at PSV. I heard a discussion this morning on tactics and concerns that Poch’s tactics would be too hard for the team to pick up in these short camps. It’s a sample size of one, but it seems that Poch is better at making the complex simple and clearly Gregg was a master at making the simple complex.
Honestly, I think Berhalter's press was a good precursor to Poch's system. We won't really be starting from ground zero with Poch as a lot of the principles are the same. The main differences I think we'll see with Poch are how/where he deploys guys in the formation (no more putting guys in the wrong position and wondering why they struggle) and more freedom to move within the shape. Berhalter wanted a more rigid shape for defensive purposes, but that really stifles your ability to create mismatches and overload areas offensively. In both systems everything starts with the press, though. Everyone will play high, but we'll see a lot more freedom to move when we're in possession.

These are class….

Just saw that the reason Puli left early this weekend is because he tore his calf. Just when all the stars are starting to get healthy and come back (Balogun, Richards, Adams, etc.) this happens. We can't catch a break. Sounds like a 6ish week recovery so I'm assuming a minor calf tear. Still, though, that's very worrisome for his long-term health if he tries to come back too soon.

Jedi had himself a MATCH yesterday. He's easily one of the top two or three LBs in the PL right now.
Agreed. I honestly can't think of a left back in the world who he can't match up with toe to toe. His speed and work rate make up for most of his deficiencies. He may not be the best skilled wing back in the world, but he brings just as much value as those are possess more skill because of his speed. It allows him to get into the attack without risking the inability to recover defensively. Once he consistently gets his service on point with crosses he'll have to be considered among the best on a very short list in the game. He's just hitting his prime too, so we'll be seeing a lot of this from him in the coming years.

Reyna is apparently starting today versus Barcelona. It will be his first start in over a year.
I saw that last night in my son's basketball practice. I hadn't even heard he was close to returning. Dortmund have been devastated by injuries so if he can stay healthy he should get a lot of run and have a chance to revive his career. Read today that he looked dangerous at times, but inconsistent. I guess that's not a shocker given the amount of time he's been out.

Pretty much. The overall game itself was lively though. Worth a watch if you have Paramount plus.
